ART BOOTH has been created in 2018 in order to promote Vietnam based contemporary artists.
Our goal is to offer a new window on artistic creation in Vietnam. We are presenting artworks that rarely get exposure in traditional galleries. Art scene in Vietnam is developing well, but the number of exhibition venues is still very small and many artists can’t get the attention they deserve. ART BOOTH is getting them this attention by presenting their work, documenting both artists and artworks, helping them to find residencies to broaden their artistic experience, to find venues for exhibitions and to manage the commercial part of their activities.
ART BOOTH founder, Jean-Baptiste Plagnard, had spent more than ten years in Vietnam when he decided to launch this platform. He graduated in Art History from Paris-Sorbonne University in 2015 and has been doing research on Vietnamese contemporary art since then. After some experience in old masters painting at Galerie Coatalem and Cabinet Turquin (art expertise) in Paris, he decided to come back in Vietnam and focus on contemporary creation. He collaborated with Sandrine Llouquet for the opening of Salon Saigon in 2017.
